HIRE LA’s Youth is one of the City’s most exciting programs to put young adults to work, ensuring they have “first time” job experience that will set them on the path of lifetime earners. 

Mayor Eric Garcetti and the L.A. City Council are committed to providing 10,000 summer jobs, and year-round entry-level employment to Los Angeles City youth.

Please join us in putting a young person to work.

Mayor Eric Garcetti, partners with the City of Los Angeles, the Workforce Investment Board and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce on HIRE LA’s Youth, a campaign focused on connecting L.A.’s youth to employment opportunities. This includes the Summer Youth Employment Program 10,000 Jobs Initiative and the year-round engagement of private sector employers to extend entry-level job opportunities to young adults.


Here’s what you can do to help a young person learn and grow through work experience:
