L. A. Youth at Work, an initiative of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, trains and certifies HIRE LA’s Youth applicants. Participants who enroll in HIRE LA’s Youth register for Job Skills Workshops and are eligible to earn a Work Readiness Certificate proving successful completion of training.

LOCAL YOUTH NEED SUMMER JOBS & INTERNSHIPS
America’s future workforce is being shortchanged as youth employment falls to record lows. Life skills that come from entry-level employment are lost. The U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) is proud to announce the first annual National Summer Youth Jobs Challenge, to urge mayors to create innovative partnerships with their local business and non-profit communities to ensure that the nations’s youth have a meaningful summer job experience. Our young adults are the future. Give them the chance to prove their potential.
HIRE LA’s Youth encourages local businesses to offer Los Angeles area youth entry level employment.
LA Youth at Work prepares candidates to earn HIRE LA’s employment opportunities.
